Reviewed your notes from Sunday Tim. Great message! Much needed message. Then on top of this, we finished our study of Ezra this morning at men’s Bible study. Wow! What an effect his prayer had on his fellow israelites. (Chap. 9 & 10) Turned the entire exile community back to God and following his ways! We should always take heart and not get discouraged…”what can one man do”? well in Ezra’s case his example led the people and leaders to renounce their sin, confess to God and change their direction. Pray that we all might be more Ezra-like in our daily walks. Interesting to note as well, when all is said and done, the sin of marrying foreign women only affected 110-113 families out of the thousands that returned. But the sense of Ezra’s plea was the fact that some of this occured by the leaders, priests, and Levites in the community. Another reason for us to hold up our church leaders in prayer.
